Studying for and taking the OCS can be a big endeavor. Many clinicians will approach the idea of taking the exam with some pensiveness, not knowing if they are ready or willing to embark on the journey. Here at OPTS, we acknowledge some of this unknown and have created what we call the OCS Readiness Quiz to help clinicians establish a benchmark of their orthopedic knowledge. This is one of our free OCS prep resources available on the homepage for anyone to use! After two months of allowing individuals to take the quiz (even some who have already passed the OCS), here are the results:

  • Average Score: 12.5/20 points

  • Median Score: 12/20 points

  • Range: 8/20 to 18/20 points

We understand these scores are traditionally not great, but this is not intended to be a direct 1:1 of the OCS exam and we anticipate these scores to change and shift as more people take the quiz.
